but I knew this time it was new terrain.
I burst wide open like a gravid ovary
hot sunbeams pierced, rays crackled over me.
If it's the Spring's rebirth thing that brings new life,
Why does it slay Winter with it's Sunshiney knife.
Maybe I was just lost or caught in the wrong spot,
when the season got slaughtered there, left lifeless to rot.
What am I thinking? I can't hold-up time,
but why did it use to me to commit such a crime?
Then the light shot back through me as the Sun headed West and what looked like a Sunflower burst out of my chest.
I gasped at the blue sky which trailed into dusk
and i screamed at the pain as I fell, just a husk.
Rebirth takes it's toll as it passes on by.
If somethings gotta live then someone's gotta die.
